Can I ask for a particular doctor?
You can request a specific doctor when booking, subject to availability.
About the service
Southcare Medical Centre provides GP consultations for women’s health concerns at different stages of life. You can book to discuss symptoms, preventive health, reproductive health or an ongoing condition.
Your GP will listen to your concerns and discuss appropriate assessment, care and follow-up based on your needs.
When to book
Book if you have a new or ongoing concern, questions about reproductive or preventive health, or would like to discuss a health change. When booking, tell reception if you need a particular appointment length or have a preference about the clinician.
What happens at your appointment
The GP will ask about your concern and relevant medical history. Depending on the reason for your visit, they may discuss an examination, tests, treatment options or referral. The GP should explain what they recommend before proceeding.
How to prepare
Write down your main concern and any questions. Bring a list of medicines, supplements and allergies, along with relevant test results or specialist letters. Let the GP know if you have preferences or concerns about the consultation.

Yes. You can raise it with your GP and ask questions about privacy or the appointment before proceeding.
That depends on your reason for attending. Your GP will explain why an examination may be recommended and discuss your consent before proceeding.
