Dr. Thiri enjoys the variety that general practice provides, with special interests in women’s health, paediatrics and chronic disease management.
Dr. Thiri is originally from Myanmar and graduated from the University of Medicine 1 in Yangon in 2009. Prior to joining Southcare Medical Centre in 2023, she worked in public hospitals for three years.
She enjoys life in the tropics and has been in Cairns for the last 4 years. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and reading.

We offer a wide range of services to support your health. Our doctors have a wide range of expertise across all areas of general practice assisted by a team of caring nurses and reception staff.
We are an AGPAL accredited practice. Additionally, we are accredited with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for registrar training.
