Dr Stuart Harris

Dr Stuart is interested in all elements of general practice and holds the philosophy that prevention is always better than cure. He’s interested in helping you to maintain or improve function and health in any way possible so that you can live your best life, as well as helping you however he can with unexpected issues in a pragmatic and collaborative manner. He has experience in anaesthetic medicine, rural medicine and emergency care.
Stuart completed medical school with James Cook University in 2016. He’s worked in rotations through Cairns Hospital, Innisfail and Mackay in the years which followed. Presently a training registrar, he hopes to have a fellowship with RACGP by the end of 2023.
He’s a keen musician and loves to play guitar in his spare time. He regards physical activity and diet as key parts of maintaining health and tries to live by the advice he provides to patients, seeking to keep fit through gym work, water polo and rowing.
