As doctors providing your cosmetic treatments, we value your safety and ability to provide informed consent above all else. We ensure that an initial Aesthetic Consult is undertaken with new patients prior to offering any treatments. This allows us to ascertain your goals and allows you to fully understand which treatments will work best for you.
Our philosophy is the ‘fresh and natural’ look.
Cosmetic Treatments
achieveUcairns provides the following cosmetic treatments aimed at improving your appearance and youthfulness:
Anti-wrinkle injections
Wrinkles are associated with increasing age. Facial muscles exert a pull on the skin which causes wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections force the muscles to relax, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Areas commonly treated with anti- wrinkle injections include:
- Forehead lines
- Frown lines
- Brow lift
- Bunny lines (nose)
- Gummy smile
- Smoker’s lines
-
Crow’s feet or corner
of eye wrinkles
- Down turned smiles
- Dimpled or pebbled chin
- Wide jaw
- Neck lines
- Face slimming
- Bruxism (jaw clenching and teeth grinding)
- Underarm hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
Filler injections
The ageing process causes a variety of structural changes in the face, including volume loss. Injecting fillers can replace volume in key areas of the face. Lip injections are also commonly performed. We use mainly hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers because they are safer, more effective and immediately reversible.
Dermal fillers injections can be used as follows:
- Lip restoration and enhancement
- Cheek enhancement
- Chin augmentation
- Jawline reshaping and definition
- Hollow temple
- Sagging corners of the mouth
- Smokers lines
- Facial shaping and contouring
- Smile lines correction
- Ear lobe augmentation
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy
A blood sample is collected from a patient and placed in our RegenLab centrifuge, which singles out the platelets from all other blood components. The PRP is then reinjected into the patient after numbing cream has been given time to work. PRP is useful because platelets release potent Platelet Derived Growth Factors. This rejuvenates the skin and can be more beneficial than anti-wrinkle and filler injections.
Chemical peels
Our peels are pharmaceutical grade and applied by our trained staff. A chemical peel is causes controlled inflammation of the outer layers of skin.
The inflammatory process that ensues boosts collagen production and forces the face to make new, more youthful layers of skin.
Advanced microneedling
Our Dermapen 4 machine delivers almost 2,000 microperforations to the skin per second.
Microneedling causes a controlled inflammatory response in the skin. The concept of the inflammatory response is like that of peels. Dermapen 4 is also helpful for scar treatment.
