About Us
Southcare Medical Centre is a grassroots General Practice that has been serving the Cairns community since the 1980s. Our rich history is a testament to the fact that our doctors, nurses and reception staff excel at putting patients first.
Presently, many GP clinics are owned by corporate entities. Here at Southcare, we are owned and run by Dr Derrick and Dr Michelle who are both experienced GPs.
We offer a wide range of services to support your health. Our doctors have a wide range of expertise across all areas of general practice assisted by a team of caring nurses and reception staff.
We are an AGPAL accredited practice. Additionally, we are accredited with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for registrar training.
